Description:
The Oratory of St. John the Baptist (Oratorio di San Giovanni Battista) is a 14th-century small chapel or prayer hall best known for its Late Gothic style fresco cycle (1416) by the brothers Lorenzo and Jacopo Salimbeni. This figure is located on the east wall, next to the Enthroned Madonna, and appearing to kneel in adoration to the painting, although outside of the frame. The figure may be Peter of Spain, the 13th century logician.
