Description:
Fresco fragment transferred to canvas, originally from the concert room of the "Anziani" (Elders), magistrates who governed the commune. (The Palazzo d’Accursio served as the town hall until 2008). The museum label in the Palazzo attributes the work to Samacchini (Tibaldi's student); the attribution to Pellegrino Tibaldi was made in 1993, by the Dorotheum auction house.
