Mosaic emblema (part of floor mosaic) with doves drinking from a basin. Roman copy after an Pergamenian original from the 2nd century BCE by Sosus of Pergamon. From the Villa of Emperor Hadrian (Villa Adriana), Tivoli, Italy. This emblema is done in the fine opus vermiculatum mosaic technique.
