Description:

Part of the 2015 "Pompeii" exhibit which featured over 220 archaeological artifacts, most from the Naples National Archaeological Museum. The exhibit was designed to immerse viewers in settings of every day life in Pompeii, complete with state-of-the-art visual effects and soundscapes. First revered by the Greeks and popular with the Romans, the goddess Fortuna personified good fortune. In 3 CE, a wealthy Pompeian, Marcus Tullius, created a cult to honor the good fortune of Emperor Augustus.
