Description:
|
From the exhibit "Alice Neel. Painter of Modern Life," March 4-September 17, 2017; owned by the Locks Foundation, Philadelphia. Gerard Joseph Malanga (born March 20, 1943) is an American poet, photographer, filmmaker, curator and archivist; he worked closely with Andy Warhol from 1963-1970. Neel's portraits have an expressionistic use of line and color, psychological acumen, and emotional intensity. (Source: Wikipedia; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page)
