Description:
|
Alfred Sisley was born into a family of Anglo-French descent; he had British nationality from his father. While he was living in Louveciennes and Marly-le-Roi, Sisley’s output increased dramatically, and his style of painting became quintessentially Impressionist in the application of pure colour with broken brushstrokes and in the treatment of light.
