Description:

This room was the antechamber to the Cardinal (or Duke's) bedroom. At the center of each wall is a medallion with the personification of a season, flanked by squares of landscapes with ruins and grotesque figures. The frescoes (1592) are by Antonio Viviani, also known as Il Sordo d'Urbino. In 1876 frieze and ceiling were repainted, but they have been restored.
