Panels illustrating the Life of Christ and Legend of St. Francis, originally meant for the doors of a sacristy cupboard in the Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence and now scattered among museums in Florence (Accademia), Munich (Alte Pinakothek), and Berlin (Staatliche Museen). These works show his mastership of Giotto's new style, to which he added a personal experimentation in the architectural backgrounds.
