In this quotation from Manet's Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe, Picasso takes the general pose of one of the men, and renders it as a nude. He folds the cardboard, somewhat origami style, to make the flat cardboard freestanding and adds pencil details to the cutout. Created in Mougins, August 26, 1962.
