Description:
|
Created in Vallauris, 1950. The sculpture is made of found objects which were then cast in bronze and assembled. The objects used in the mother figure include a kiln plate (the blouse), cake molds (the breasts), and ceramic saggers (the skirt). Saggers are a type of shallow box used to fire powders or parts in a ceramic kiln.
