Description:
This group of Jesus Christ, St. John the Baptist and an angel was installed over the east doorway of the Florence Baptistery (Battistero di San Giovanni), which was dedicated to St. John. Only St. John is entirely by Sansovino (1502-1505). The figure of Christ was finished by Vincenzo Danti (1569) and the angel was done by Innocenzo Spinazzi (1792).
