Description:
|
The central canvas panel of the ceiling was executed by Laurent Pécheux who painted the Council of the Gods, dated between 1777 and 1783, depicting Jupiter among the gods both favorable and against the Trojan war. The vaults continue in the decorations with trophies and weapons by Marchetti and in the stucco bas-reliefs in which Korybantes (Corybants, followers of Cybele) appear dancing with helmet and shield, designed by Vincenzo Pacetti and made by Costantino Mazzoni (active in the second half of the XVIII century).
