Published by Amsterdam: aux depens d'Estienne Roger. Originally published in 1699 in Paris. Includes a translation of Pliny's letters, together with observations on all of the buildings and a text touching on ancient and gothic architecture. Pliny's letters on his villas (2.17 and 5.6) were written in the last quarter of the 1st century AD.
