Work Notes:
|
This ancient Roman sculptural group was discovered in the Tommasini vigna in Rome and installed in the gardens in an open pavilion at the terminus of the main longitudinal cross axis. The group was moved to one of the garden spaces in the formal garden in XXXX and was replaced by the sculpture of Dea Roma. (Coffin, 231; Chastel, 447-448)
