The Pan-American Highway, east of the capital [capitol] city, on the way in from Guatemala. Here as in many places along the highway as it approaches busy cities, but is still bordered by farms or plantations, a dirt road will run parallel to the paved road. this gives automotive traffic more freedom to travel faster than it could if the road were constantly used by horse or oxen drawn carts, etc. near Santa tecla [Nueva San Salvador], El Salvador, C. A.
