Cuba - Province of Havana - Havana: the downtown city skyline from the opposite shore of the canal which forms the entrance to Havana Harbor. This picture was taken from the land between El Morro (Morro Castle) and La Cabana Fortress. The dome of the capitol can be seen to the right of the Presidential Palace. The statue overlooking the harbor in front of the Presidential Palace is a monument to Generalissimo-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolutionary Army, Maximo Gomez, who lead his countrymen in revolt again [against] Spain.
