San Juan: Fortaleza, the Governor's Palace, with part of the old walls and a sentry box of the old days. The tremendous wall once encompassed the city and made it a fortress of strength against would-be attackers. These sentry boxes are at every advantage point and are so distinctively San Juan that the little dome-topped, round box has become a sort of trademark of the city.
