Colonial Printing office - This 18th century shop building on Duke of Gloucester Street has been equipped with the supplies and paraphernalia of a colonial printing office, similar to the one set up and operated by William Parks, pioneer printer of America, when he began publication of "The Virginia Gazette" in Williamsburg in 1736. An accurately reconstructed printing press of pre-Revolutionary days, requiring eleven different hand operations for such impression, is used for souvenir printings and demonstrations of the methods used two centuries ago. The shop is a free exhibition building.
