REMARKS COMPILED IN 1987 BY ROY HAMILTON ON BASIS OF EXISTING RECORDS, EXAMINATION OF OBJECT, AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE: Consists of two panels sewn together, decorated with warp ikat, supplementary weft, and a narrow twined border. This style of "ulos" is not specifically documented in the literature, although it shares some features in common with the "ragi hotong" [Gittinger 1975:15], most notably the decorative twined border and the subtle overall pattern of the ikat centerfield.
