Warp: cotton thread, Z twist, single ply, 52-60 threads per inch, colors in red, black and beige. Weft: cotton thread, Z twist, single ply, 53 threads per inch, red. Ramin. Weft stripes in cotton thread, Z twist, doubled (white, 52 threads per inch), tripled (light blue, 72 threads per inch); and metallic thread (gold?, copper?), S wrapped, single ply. Selvedge: warp threads paired. In cotton (Z twist) and silk (S twist), 68 threads per inch, in red. Secondary materials: gold wrapped thread, doubled, S wrapped, gold(?) copper(?) Two panel central plaid of red and black with white ramin accent lines in warps and weft. 8 cm selvedge band of red cotton and wool. 5 bands of gold wrapped weft, and supplementary weft, 2 and 4 cm wide. Four of the bands are separated by 3 cm bands of red silk supplementary weft. Doubled metallic supplementary: 1,2 or 3 per lidi, or 1,2 or 3 warps per pattern sick. Four to six warps are plied and knotted for the 9 cm fringe. There are two rows at each end of an "x" motif in continuous supplementary weft doubled metallic. Four warp bands of 1 cm are beige silk and serve to brighten the red and black plaid.
