REMARKS BY RENS HERINGA (1995): The cloths with colored silk grounds are older than those with cream grounds (as in X81.1380), dating to the mid 19th century. The colored silk was obtained from Surabaya. Green and blue are common, but the FMCH collection includes two yellow examples as well (X74.330 & X74.334).
