Engraved by W. Sim , Scoles, W. Hoogland and A. Anderson. The Phillips copy is published by M'Dermut and D.D. Arden. This copy is by M'Dermut only and may be earlier than the Phillips, which is dated 1814. Also, neither Phillips or Tooley mentions Scoles and Hoogland as engravers, only Sim and Anderson. The maps are very well done, copied we presume from the English edition by Laurie (P5588). See Melish's 1815 Ancient geography for similar but reengraved maps. Bound with peach colored paper with label pasted on the front and entitled as above. |
