The fresco in the center of the entrance wall is attributed to a pupil of Agnolo Gaddi representing the Enthroned Madonna with Child between two angels, the Blessed John of Salerno, St. Dominic, St. John the Baptist, St. Peter Martyr and a devotee. During the modernization of the Refectory at the end of the 16th century, this portion of 14th century fresco was hidden by the large canvas by Alessandro Allori. This has now been removed and reinstalled on a side wall. (Source: Musei Civici Fiorentini [website]; http://museicivicifi orentini.comune.fi.i t/en)
