Description:
|
This is a typical example of Severini's work between 1916 and 1919 when he was exploring synthetic cubism according to two articles on cubist theory which he wrote at this time. In this painting the support surface of the objects is vertically inverted, the profiles and the shapes on the surface are multiplied and there is an insertion of painted parts with a trompe l'oeil effect.
