Description:
The two winged cupids (or erotes or putti) stand on either side of a large temple brazier and use knives to kill bulls which they hold down with their knees. This panel was originally one of a series that decorated the exterior of the Temple of Venus Genetrix in the Forum Iulium (Forum of Caesar), Rome, early second century CE.
