Description: 
This statue, along with a pendant statue of Winter, was found in 1804 by Robert Fagan on the Cesarini estate at Campo Jemini, near Tor Vajanica, near an ancient Roman villa. Autumn is shown as a young woman with an ornate crown of grapes surrounded by four cupids harvesting the vines. The head was added by the Neoclassical sculptor Massimiliano Laboureur. Image Description: 
Funeral relief from sepulcher of family from period of Augustus (inv. 2167). Found on Via Cassia near Acquatraversa. Two parents take leave of their young son; the mother gives him fruit and bread for his journey to the Underworld.
