Aristodemo Costoli was an Italian sculptor who spent his entire career in the city of Florence. This is a copy (plaster cast) of his sculpture in the Duomo and shows Arnolfo di Cambio (orginal architect of the Duomo) contemplating a plan of the cathedral while holding a pair of calipers.
