Notes:
REMARKS COMPILED IN 1987 BY ROY HAMILTON ON BASIS OF EXISTING RECORDS, EXAMINATION OF OBJECT, AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE: An example of the rare double ikat "geringsing" cloths from Tenganan Pageringsingan, Bali. There are about twenty named types of "geringsing"; it is not clear from the available literature what name would be applied to this particular cloth. Much of the information contained in the entry for X61.1 applies also to this cloth. A detailed report about Tenganan and "geringsing" is given in Ramseyer 1984.
