REMARKS BY RUTH BARNES (1989): three-panel bridewealth cloth from Atadei. The two outer panels show the patterns "moku" [manta ray] and "sirete" [star]; the central panel the "menue" design, named for a swift, a thread-winding device. The open warp at "rata" [called "ratan" in Atadei, has been cut.
