There is only one documented work by Domenico di Michelino, the painting of Dante Reading from the ‘Divine Comedy’ in Florence Cathedral. Based on this style, the scholars Ciaranfi and Offner compiled a consistent corpus. Berenson disagreed on some works, and attributed them to Andrea di Giusto. The theme of the Virgin and Child with six saints (in this case, Anthony, Louis, Francis, Jerome, Bernard and Sebastian) was common to Domenico's body of work. This work is attributed to an anonymous artist within Domenico's workshop on the basis of a series of angels painted on paper, in various collections.
