Description:
|
One of two panels showcased at the entrance to the newly renovated convent library (known as the Biblioteca di Michelozzo, after the architect). The other matching panel is the School of Saint Thomas Aquinas. Zanobi Strozzi was closely associated with Fra Angelico and these works are sometimes listed as "workshop of Fra Angelico." He was the most important illuminator in the circle of Fra Angelico and made a fundamental contribution to the imagery of early Renaissance choir-books.
