Description:
n 1555 Veronese was employed by the fellow Veronese Don Bernardo Torlioni (died 1572), who was prior of S Sebastiano, to paint the entire ceiling of the church’s sacristy. Below the ceiling, the upper walls are ringed with paintings. These are probably by the workshop of Bonifacio de'Pitati, who may have worked in the studio of Palma Vecchio, although they have been attributed to others.
