Since 1983, the Refectory (Cenacolo) has been used as a museum and as a home for works of art and for sacred furnishings. This altar cloth (antependium) is of taffeta silk, hand painted in a profusion of flowers, a style known as 'paliotto fiorito'. The decorative winding stems are appliqué.
