Aphrodite (Venus) removing her sandal from Pompeii, House of L. and M. Volusii Fausti (I.2.10) (Casa di L. Volusius Faustus ed M. Volusius Faustus) done in opus sectile type inlay. Opus sectile originated in Egypt and Asia Minor. It was considered a rarer and more luxurious art than straightforward mosaic made with tesserae.
