Description:
The original patron was Girolamo Corboli; the chapel is dedicated to St, Jerome (San Girolamo); later it became known as the Montauto Chapel. The altarpiece is a fresco of the Trinity with Saint Jerome and two saints (ca. 1453-1455) by Andrea del Castagno; the two saints are Paula and Eustochium, who assisted Jerome in his Latin translation of the Bible. The rest of the chapel was done by Alessandro Allori from 1560 to 1564. To the left is Disputation of Jesus Among the Doctors; on the right is Christ Casting Out the Merchants from the Temple.
