Description:
|
Original in private collection, illustration printed in Puck's Library: All in the Family, April 1891 (copy in Flagler Museum Library). A humorous cartoon wherein the bachelor brother-in-law is supposed to take the baby out in the waiting carriage but is more interested in the nursemaid. The cartoon's political title refers to the man's "amendment" to the suggested plan. From the exhibition, With a Wink and a Nod: Cartoonists of the Gilded Age (October 13, 2015 - January 3, 2016).
