Part of Chagall: Colour and Music (Exhibition, January 28 to June 11, 2017); from a private collection. This was painted in Paris in 1914; Chagall achieved some success in Paris in 1910-1914 with his imaginative subjects. He exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants in 1912, 1913, and 1914.
