Description:
|
Bligny, a small village in northeastern France, holds the most important Italian War cemetery in France. It holds the remains of 3,440 Italian soldiers from WWI, mainly from the II Corpo d’Armata (their comander was generale Albricci and this unit fought in this region during German offensive in June 1918). Between the world wars, Martini became the semi-official sculptor of the fascist regime. (Source: Wikipedia; http://en.wikipedia. org/wiki/Main_Page)
