Description:
|
In 1916, Severini's work turned towards Cubism. His version of Cubism most closely resembled Synthetic Cubism, an extension of constructive values of space through fragmentation and recomposition. In his memoirs, Severini recalls a house in Aix-Les-Bains he shared with his family, covered with a wallpaper which he reproduced in this painting.
