Description:
From Amatunte, Cyprus. Brightly colored model of a four-horse chariot with a woman and a child on board. The object, mounted on movable wheels, is much like a toy. It may have depicted a religious ceremony in which a mother accompanies her son to be consecrated to a deity. (Source: Museo Barracco di Scultura Antica [website]; http://www.museobarr acco.it/en/)
