Description:
|
Private collection of Jean Christophe Castelli, New York (on loan to the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis). In the “fool’s house”, which is also the artist’s studio, a broom becomes a brush, a coffee cup is a vessel for mixing paint, and a dishtowel a paint rag. Hand-written labels identify the objects in an apparently redundant manner which is belied by the multiple roles they play. (Source: Broad Museum [website]; https://www.thebroad .org/)
