Cuba - Province of Camaguey - Nevuitas: A charcoal boat brings in the much needed fuel to the town of Nevuitas and vicinity. The harbor of Neviotas formerly was the busy scene of sugar shipping, loading freighters with the crude (brown) sugar milled from the cane grown on the rich lands of the Province of Camaguey for transport to the United States and the refineries which change it into the glistening sweetness the American housewife knows and uses. Today the town of Nevuitas is still the business center for the shipping transactions, but the ports of Pastilillo and Terrazza farther out on the Bay of Nevuitas are the shipping points.
