From top of rim of Bryce Canyon near Bryce Lodge west looking down into Bryce Canyon. Utah.If even the stereographs could convey a true idea of topography you could see that it was impossible to place the man closer to camera & as for his being farther down was out of the question - This ground here is very crumbly & extremely dangerous - It was fortunate at that time that this man was there - He is a Norwegian painter & a real mountain climber otherwise you would have had no life at all in this & in 47979 & 47955. Look over composition of views on this rim taken by Peabody & then you will agree that good exposure is all right but composition is just as important - & in general his composition in all his work is no good fro stereo point of view.
