Notes:
Cuba - Province of Camaguey - Vertientes: The main street of the little town of Vertientes about 20 miles west of the city of Camaguey. It is here that the American owned and operated Central Vertientes is located in the center of a very fertile sugar growing region. The "central" (sugar mill) and its property lies just beyond this section of the town. The managing personnel of the central live in houses on the company property, but the workers in the mill and in the sugar fields live in the town or in the country surrounding it.
