Content/Description
Notes:
REMARKS BY RACHAEL GROSSMAN (1975): this is the "semen" style, frequently worn by women in childbirth; these cloths are never washed; because of their healing properties, they are wrapped around a sick child; this cloth was probably used by a commoner; designs include birds, pavillions, and crescent shapes which are probably ships.
