REMARKS COMPILED IN 1987 BY ROY HAMILTON ON BASIS OF EXISTING RECORDS, EXAMINATION OF OBJECT, AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE: Note on accession sheet says that this cloth was "used as wrapping material" to wrap the other objects in the collection. Appears to be an example of contemporary decorative weaving from the 1930s. Possibly from Bali, as is the majority of pieces in this collection.
